So I have a lot of clothes like a whole lot. Im a big fan of retail therapy, I have a lot of anxiety and when a day just gets too stressful I find my comfort in the form of goodwill. With my love of shopping comes my ever changing and evolving style and need to constantly clean out my closet. To make room for the “new Kiere” that’s what I call myself once I get on a new style kick.
With this cycle I live in, I don’t want some of the beautiful pieces of clothing I no longer wear to just get no further purpose. So I made a Depop so that I can give these clothing items I sadly pushed to the back of my closet new life!
I put together theses photoshoots with my friends to give theses clothing items new energy. I find this process bringing me back to when I was in high school. When I was younger I loved photography it was my deepest passion along side of my drawing. Me and my friends in high school used to put together these photoshoots and they were a blast. We were so young and unsure but also a lot more creative and free minded without the stresses of adult reality.
So when I get to upload new clothing to my Depop I’m proud of the processes that went into it all. It brings some of my passions together photography, clothes, and styling. That’s all I’m trying to do with my life. I want to create, create, create, always and forever. It’s very easy to get stuck into a routine and forget about being creative and putting time and energy into our passions. That’s why I give myself projects like this to get that creativity going. Nothing makes me feel more at ease than when I creating and producing things I’m proud of.
I hope that my sharing of my process of creating for my Depop inspires you to create something today. Whatever your passions are do something with them today give them some time and energy and be proud of what you create.
